Mido SA is a Swiss watchmaking company , founded in 1918 , in Solothurn, by Georges Schaeren. Known for being a pioneer in precision watchmaking, it is part of the Swatch Group and is currently based in Le Locle . Its products are the self-winding Multifort (1935), the central chronograph (1943) and the Mini Mido (1967), the smallest automatic watch ever produced on an assembly line.
