Omega Seamaster 300 Tritium 2551.80.00 circa 1990
Omega Seamaster 300 Tritium 2551.80.00 circa 1990
The OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M, one of the most recognizable watches, needs no introduction. Equipped with a robust steel case, a wave-pattern dial and often chosen as the modern watch of choice for James Bond, few watches command as much praise – and deserve it as much – as the Seamaster Diver 300M.
This model, reference 2551.80.00, is a typical 90s/2000s edition of the Seamaster 300M, reminiscent of the watch used in GoldenEye in 1995, and offered in a versatile diameter of 36 mm, an intermediate size. From the wave pattern on the dial to the shape of the hands, through the classic blue bezel and the lyre lugs of the case, this watch embodies everything that marked the OMEGA brand's presence in the 1990s and 2000s.
While it reflects the aesthetics of its era, this model remains an iconic example of the Seamaster professional collection, with its key features: a case water-resistant to 300 metres, a finish alternating between polished and brushed, a helium valve at 10 o'clock, and of course, an engraved dial reminiscent of the waves the watch is designed for. The bracelet also deserves a special mention: practically unique in OMEGA's history, this ultra-comfortable steel bracelet has become a true favourite among collectors.
Powered by the Omega 1109 calibre, based on the ETA 2892-A2, this automatic watch is ready for anything, making it an ideal sporty watch that is easy to wear every day, whether heading out on the waves for adventure or simply to the office.
