The Lip Nautic 3 is one of those French watches that tells the story of a country as much as that of watchmaking. Produced in the late 1960s while Lip was going through a turbulent era, it's a distinctly French diver with a character all its own. Its black dial accented with orange touches, external ratcheted bezel and unmistakably seventies hands give it real personality. Powered by a Lip R184 electromechanical caliber, a technology Besançon pioneered, it has become a small but increasingly sought-after collector's piece. The Lip Nautic 3 has even been reissued recently, but this one remains the purest version, the original.
