Electra Skin Diver circa 1960
Electra Skin Diver circa 1960
The Electra house was born in March 1966 when Fred Lip grouped together several watchmaking manufacturers, companies from Besançon and Paris. He thus brought together under the Electra name the brands Lacorda, Friez-Prudhon, Pilote SA, Quartier frères. In 1969, the two Swiss companies Vulcain and Sarcar joined them. That same year, Electra produced some 300,000 watches. Unfortunately this success did not last. In 1971, court-ordered liquidation brought the company to an end.
