Fortis Watches AG is a Swiss watch manufacturer founded in 1912 in Grenchen, Switzerland. They collaborated with John Harwood to create the first automatic watch in 1926. Fortis also developed the Spacematic Automatik space watch in 1962. In 1994, they became the official supplier of the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Centre. Today, their B-42 chronograph is the official watch of Russian cosmonauts.
