Founded in 1873 in Lancaster, USA, Hamilton was initially known as Adam & Perry Watch Co. The very first pocket watches marked « Hamilton » appeared in 1892, notably with a model dedicated to railroad employees. During the great wars, Hamilton naturally put itself at the service of the military. Later, Hamilton went on to collaborate extensively with Hollywood before relocating to Switzerland at the onset of the quartz crisis.
This late 1990s Khaki is the most faithful to the H3 model worn by GIs during the Vietnam War. On the menu: a 33 mm diameter (compared to 38 mm for new models), an "H Lancaster" crown, and one of the most reliable movements on the market, making it a superb piece for everyday wear.
