Henry Louis Belmont fonde YEMA in 1948, at Besançon in the Doubs, berceau of l’horlogerie française. The manufacture connaît rapidement a grand succès on the scène internationale puisqu’in 1966, and for trois années consécutives, Yema is the premier exportateur français of montre : more of 500 000 modèles livrés in more of 50 pays! Aux États-Unis, c’is sous the nom of « LEJOUR », a marque d’export, that Yema s’imposa on the marché of the montres bracelets.
